From the memory of an old washboard emerges a marine creature from another time.

Scorpion at the Wash is a one of a kind artwork where the charm of reclaimed materials meets the refinement of art. Its fins, crafted from electrical cables, intertwine with a mosaic of blue enamels, Venetian white gold, artistic ceramics and glass, bringing to life a scorpionfish with a magnetic and irreverent character.
An unusual guest emerges from an old washboard: Scorpion at the Wash — a creature with a sting in its name and an unpredictable nature.

Each of my mosaics is born from an encounter with the wood: cleaned, brushed, restored, and always protected with an anti-woodworm treatment. Its grain, shapes, colors, and traces of time inspire the subject and guide the composition. The wood does not merely host the mosaic; it becomes an essential part of it, dialoguing with the artwork and completing it with its own story.

Materials: Mixed Venetian smalti, white Venetian gold (24K gold leaf), artistic glass, artistic ceramics, recycled material.
