From the memory of an old piece of wood, touched by shades of green and traces of blue, emerges a sea creature of striking and distinctive beauty.

Around the round iron eye, I have vertically set yellow art glass, creating a luminous focal point that captures the gaze. White gold, with its almost imperceptible golden hue, meets Venetian  smalti, marble and artistic ceramics, giving life to a precious interplay of textures, shades and reflections.
A meeting between the weathered beauty of wood and the luminous richness of mosaic, where each fragment holds a story and the sea seems to reveal, for a fleeting moment, its most secret soul.

Each of my mosaics is born from an encounter with the wood: cleaned, brushed, restored, and always protected with an anti-woodworm treatment. Its grain, shapes, colors, and traces of time inspire the subject and guide the composition. The wood does not merely host the mosaic; it becomes an essential part of it, dialoguing with the artwork and completing it with its own story.
