After reading the African legend of the deer with flowering antlers, which tells of a deer captured by a king whose antlers were adorned with flowers and leaves, and who, once freed, returns months later with its antlers blooming again, I was deeply moved by its meaning of renewal and vitality.

Ifelt inspired to revisit one of my mosaics, which originally depicted deer antlers. On a wooden base, among mixed marbles and antique white Venetian gold, I added flowers made from artistic glass and handcrafted ceramics that I love to reuse, giving them new life.
Inspired by this legend, I transformed the work into a symbol of regeneration, a dialogue between strength and delicacy, between what is ancient and what is reborn, and between matter and the light that flows through it.

Each of my mosaics is born from an encounter with the wood: cleaned, brushed, restored, and always protected with an anti-woodworm treatment. Its grain, shapes, colors, and traces of time inspire the subject and guide the composition. The wood does not merely host the mosaic; it becomes an essential part of it, dialoguing with the artwork and completing it with its own story.

Materials: Venetian white antique gold (24k gold leaf), white Italian stone of Nanto, white Italian marble Travertine, artistic glass, artistic ceramics.
