BLUE PENDULUM

Mosaic on wood

Year: 2025

Size: 8×36 cm.

Weight: 0,600 kg.

I created this pendulum from a section of an old table leg, preserving the small original metal detail, which now becomes both an aesthetic and symbolic element. The surface is decorated with a mosaic made of white gold, Venetian beige, predominantly blue Venetian enamels, and artistic glass, all hand-set following the natural lines of the wood.

For me, this pendulum represents the meeting point between memory and transformation: the reclaimed wood carries history and grounding, while the glass and enamels reflect light, clarity, and movement. In its esoteric meaning, it symbolizes the harmony between what is stable and what flows, inviting a sense of centering and inner calm.

Each of my mosaics is born from an encounter with the wood: cleaned, brushed, restored, and always protected with an anti-woodworm treatment. Its grain, shapes, colors, and traces of time inspire the subject and guide the composition. The wood does not merely host the mosaic; it becomes an essential part of it, dialoguing with the artwork and completing it with its own story.

Materials: Beige and white Venetian gold (24K gold leaf), mixed Venetian smalti, artistic glass.
