For the Maori, an indigenous people of New Zealand, the whale’s tail symbolizes speed, strength, protection and the bond between animal and man.

Those who possess the wisdom and strength of the whale have the ability to hear even whispers and can perceive the most subtle dynamics of the entire universe

Each of my mosaics is born from an encounter with the wood: cleaned, brushed, restored, and always protected with an anti-woodworm treatment. Its grain, shapes, colors, and traces of time inspire the subject and guide the composition. The wood does not merely host the mosaic; it becomes an essential part of it, dialoguing with the artwork and completing it with its own story.
